No use in crying over spilled milk

Is there really no use in crying over spilled milk? My basset hound knocked a small cup of milk from the table. Big mess, as you can see. Even the cat wanted to get in on the mess. Weep no more! Green cleaning took care of this mess super fast.

Spilled milk

All purpose cleaner #1

  • 3 tbsp. white vinegar
  • 1⁄2 tsp. washing soda
  • 1⁄2 tsp. vegetable oil based liquid soap
  • 2 cups hot water

Mix ingredients in spray bottle or bucket. Apply and wipe clean.

The recipe is from the "green cleaning" curriculum. This curriculum is so great; it's full of great tested recipes and tips! It was created by Sharon Gibson and Pam Turner at the University of Georgia; with permission.

Until next time ...

Grody to the max

I was talking to my 12-year old daughter Jenkins and described something as "grody to the max." She replied, "what does that mean?"

Dear readers, here is an example of something that is grody to the max: The top of my refrigerator! Out of sight, out of mind. It had become so dusty and grimy and a dumping ground for random stuff.

How did this junk get here, anyhow?!

What is the best way to stay on top of the out-of-sight, out of mind chores? First, identify them. Then, rotate them into the cleaning schedule.

During the detox process

I invite you to check the top of your fridge for dust bunnies and other grime.
Until next week!
