A bad splinter and home safety: Part II

Here is part II of the sliver story (the last blog post is Part I).

Last week: My finger was hurting and not healing like it should. I examined my finger carefully.... you guessed it! There was still sliver in the finger. Despite the doctor's best efforts, they were not able to remove all of the sliver.

I went back to the clinic. Again, it took two professionals to open the wound and dig out the sliver and infection. My finger still hurts, but is finally starting to really heal.

PLEASE heed my warning ... wear your gloves while working outdoors and protect yourself from needless injury.

Four office visits!

PS My husband wants me to mention that he told me to put my gloves on :)
